Stirling Distillery
Stirling's first legal distillery, operated by June and Cameron McCann in the historic Old Smiddy building (built 1888, originally a church temperance hall) in Stirling city centre. Stirling Gin was founded in October 2015; the formal distillery opened in 2019. Began producing their own new-make whisky in 2023 — the first whisky distilled in Stirling since 1852. Also operates the Sons of Scotland independent bottling range (launched 2020).

History
Stirling Gin was founded in October 2015 by June and Cameron McCann. The company established its distillery in the Old Smiddy building in 2019 — a structure dating to 1888 that began its life as a church temperance hall, adding an appealing irony to its current use. The Sons of Scotland independent bottling range launched in 2020. In 2023, Stirling became the first location in Stirling city to distil whisky since 1852, when the McCanns installed a whisky still.
